Beauty Treatments and Tans

Whether you’re someone who loves to get a regular glow up, or you’re someone who is looking to get a sunless glow for an event, there are a few things you should take into consideration when getting your other beauty treatments. Here are a few tips that help your spray tan last longer just by the way you prepare.

Waxing
As a sunless professional I strongly recommend scheduling all waxing appointments at least 48 hours in advance of your sunless tanning appointment. The reason you want to wax so far in advance is that the residue from the wax can stay on your skin for a while, and you don’t want to create a barrier for the spray tan solution. Never get a waxing appointment while you still plan to have your spray tan. Waxing while you have a spray tan will rip your tan right off your body.

Chemical Peels and Other Facial Treatments
Who doesn’t love a good facial treatment? The experience is so great, especially if you’re doing deep cleansing or anti-aging treatments. However, make sure that you book your sunless tan a few days after these treatments due to the lasting effects of the oils and moisturizers used during some beauty treatments. In the case of more advanced beauty treatments like chemical peels, your skin can be left exposed, so you may need to wait longer than 48 hours before receiving a spray tan.

Manicure and Pedicure Appointments
It is recommended that spray tanning appointments are scheduled after any manicure appointments. It is also not recommended that you get nail services other than polish changes or dry manicure/pedicures after an airbrush tanning appointment. Any soaking or scrubbing will remove your spray tan and cause it to be uneven.
